What's curious is the fact that when I check out the SSD (Intel Raid 0 Volume) in the device manager the driver is version. by Intel, but when I put it (it's called SetupRST.exe) onto a separate flash drive and browse it during the setup as per your instructions, the setup definitely does not see it even when I uncheck the "Hide." option. I found what seems to be the correct driver on Acer's website (my SNID is 32400966420): "SATA AHCI Driver" version 12. I have read your tutorial and the rest of this thread, but can't figure out what to do! Unfortunately, the setup is unable to locate my SSD so that I can wipe it and install Windows on it. iso file (Windows 8 圆4, the same version that came with the laptop) to create a bootable Windows 8 setup on a flash drive. I have desperately been trying to get a clean installation of Windows 8 onto my new laptop. Theog, maybe you (or someone else) can help me. ![]()
